Whether you’re an experienced educator or new to teaching with strong subject knowledge, this is a great opportunity to share your expertise in civil engineering.

You’ll deliver engaging teaching across civil engineering subjects, supporting students through lectures, tutorials, workshops and assessment. Hours are flexible and offered as and when required, making this role easy to fit around other professional or personal commitments.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging sessions across Civil Engineering subjects and qualifications
  • Support both practical and theoretical learning activities
  • Help learners develop technical knowledge, confidence and transferable skills
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learner levels and learning styles
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and professional learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to support high-quality delivery

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant civil engineering knowledge, gained through study, training or professional experience
  • An interest in teaching, mentoring or supporting learners aged 16+
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional approach
  • Ability to adapt and engage learners with different backgrounds and abilities
  • A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one (desirable)
  • Flexibility and reliability, including availability at short notice

This role is ideal whether you’re already teaching, looking to move into education, or keen to share your subject knowledge in a flexible and non-commited teaching position.
