We're looking for a Lead Examinations Invigilator - someone who can keep cool under pressure, lead a team with confidence and ensure every exam runs like clockwork. You'll be the steady hand behind the scenes, making sure students get a fair shot and that everything follows the rules to the letter.
You'll be part of a team that values fairness, precision and student success. You'll play a key role in one of the most important moments in a student's education, and you will enjoy variety of the role, responsibility, and the satisfaction of knowing you made exam day a little less stressful.
You will:
- Lead the exam room with authority, fairness and a sharp eye for detail
- Delegate tasks to fellow invigilators and ensure JCQ regulations are followed to the letter
- Book, train and manage a team of casual invigilators
- Oversee exam security, candidate identification and the smooth running of rest breaks and extra time
- Report any hiccups, whether it's a suspicious glance or a missing paper, so they're handled swiftly and professionally
You need:
- A calm, professional presence and knack for leadership
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour sensitively
- Confidence with ICT and a willingness to learn new systems
- A flexible, enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to putting students first
- Previous invigilation experience is a bonus, but not essential
