We are looking for that person who can turn personal development into a powerhouse of student success. As our new Personal Development Manager, you'll be the architect behind a vibrant, inclusive and inspiring tutorial programme that helps students thrive socially, emotionally and academically. This role is 18.5 hours per week, all year.
You will:
- Design and deliver a college-wide tutorial model that is as engaging as it is effective
- Lead induction and enrolment experiences that make students feel welcome from Day 1
- Curate a calendar of personal development activities, from Freshers events to cross-college campaigns
- Create differentiated, inclusive resources that meets the needs of every learner, across every subject
- Monitor tutorial quality, gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
- Prepare students for their next steps, whether that's university, apprenticeships or the world of work
- Collaborate with curriculum and careers teams to build clear, supported progression pathways
- Train and support staff to deliver tutorials that truly make a difference
You will need to:
- Have a passion for education and student development
- Have a Level 5 teaching qualification
- Have experience in teaching or lecturing, ideally in Further Education
- Possess a creative flair for designing engaging learning experiences
- Have strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Have a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing
